Oh boy, that was fun. Arrived to find Krafty powered up on his 5.9 and
Paul on his 7.8, so was thinking of going 6.5 to be comfortable, but I had
a new (to me) 7.5 to try, so I went for that. Conditions were fairly tame,
but seeing as I had written the weekend off, I was dead chuffed to be fully
powered and blasting. The sail is fantastic - thanks flanjab - it's a
Severne NCX and it is really small feeling for a 7.5 but super quick and
easy. I had it quite flat when I first went out and it was very
comfortable when Krafty was blatting about on his 5.9. It dropped back for
a mo, so I loosened off the outhaul and it proved dead grunty. Really
enjoyed today and I got the timing perfect as it just picked up as I
arrived and then it dropped back when the rain came in. Now at home
waiting for the family to return from the sponsored dog walk that I should
have been on - I may be in the doghouse. Hope not.
